 Public Works Director Todd Goolsby, Dee McLeroy, Commissioner Tommy Powers, Chairman Steve Fry, Commissioner Roosevelt Willis, and County Manager Steve Marro break ground for the new Public Works Garage on December 5, 2007.

 The 2007 Christmas Tour of Homes and Historic Sites was held Sunday, Dec. 2. It was sponsored by the Crepe Myrtle Garden Club of Zebulon. If you missed out this year, make sure to get your tickets next year. For more pictures click here.

 These are pictures from the Hot Rods and Hogs Fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Hospital and Breast Cancer Awareness sponsored by A Taste of Heaven Coffee Cabin and James D. Jeffries Custom Homes on October 13, 2007.
 37 cars, trucks and motorcycles were entered in the Southern Hot Rods and Hogs Fall Classic.

 $935.05 was raised with 1/2 of the proceeds to go to Breast Cancer Awareness and 1/2 of the proceeds to go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
 Thank you to everyone who contributed give-a-ways and those who bought tickets and visited the car show.

 Lil Man has gradually put on the pounds and the rain rot has slowly healed. It did not take him long to get sassy and act like a 2 year colt should. September 14th picture eating grass outside after a bath.
 September 25th shows him starting to fill out. He started getting some more height on him too.
 September 29th eating some grass after a bath as usual. There are opportunities to help with rescue horses at Cheyenne Farm.

 October 23rd shows him out in the pasture at Cheyenne Farm and looking really good.
 Lil Man is wet in this picture after his bath on November 2nd. His ribs aren't showing anymore. I didn't take pictures of him on Friday, November 16th, but Lil Man has started getting his winter coat and seemed to have grown a couple of inches over the past two weeks!

 827 flags flew proudly in front of the Pike County Primary School for Veteran's Day in honor of those who have served and are serving. Each child from PreK through 2nd grade colored an American Flag. |  Christ Chapel donated the banner. Robin Jenkins, Gena Carter, Nan Sands, Danny Jenkins worked on this Veterans' Day project. |
 Centerfield Storm Baseball Program completes another successful fall season. The team recently placed 1st in the Hampton Fall Brawl Event. Story on page 1. |  Centerfield Storm Baseball players, Ethan and Carson pitched back to back no hitters in recent tournaments and also hit a homerun in the championship games. |

 Eddie Mullins won the people's choice award at Bad Boys House of Cycles Grand Opening with his 2004 Softail. |  10.24.07: These horses were impounded near the Cedars Golf Course today by the Equine Emergency Response Team. Citizens can call 911 when there is a large animal like a horse or cows near the road and 911 will dispatch the EERT. See story on front page. |
