Zebulon Christmas Parade and Festival Is On Sunday, December 11th

ZEBULON - The Zebulon Christmas Parade and Festival will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 1 to 5:30 p.m. at the Pike County Courthouse Square in Zebulon. There will be food, vendors, and entertainment. The parade will be at 3 p.m. with Meghan Gregg as the Grand Marshall of the parade.

Meghan played softball at Pike County and now plays for the University of Tennessee. Among the highlights of Meghan's career are playing Pike Recreation 8-U Softball, she was a member of Georgia Impact 14U National Runners-up, a member of the Atlanta Vipers 18U ASA National Champions, and celebrated two finishes in the Top Ten with the Birmingham Thunderbolts.

As a student at Flint River Academy, the Georgia Independent School Association awarded the team with four Region Titles and three State Championships and she was named Georgia High School Gatorade Player of the Year. Meghan earned a scholarship with the University of Tennessee where she has been a starter since freshman year. She is a Team Captain and has participated in the Women's College World Series.

The schedule of events on the square includes the Clark Kids at 2 p.m., the parade at 3 p.m., Harvest Time Revival Children's Choir from 4 to 4:30 p.m. Rivers Edge Bluegrass at 4:30, the announcement of parade float winners Pike County Arts Council (PCAC) and upcoming Art Council events from 4:40 to 5:00 along with the PCAC Jr Players, and the Elementary School Chorus will perform from 5 to 5:30 p.m.
