BREAKING NEWS: Wreck Occurs on Highway 19 Today

ZEBULON - Pike County Sheriff's Office Traffic Investigators responded to a head on collision on Highway 19 near McKinley Road at approximately 3:45 p.m. today. There was three vehicles involved in the incident. A vehicle traveling northbound crossed the median striking an oncoming vehicle head on.

Two patients were transported to Spalding Regional Hospital. Pike County resident Lassandra Buttman was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The collision remains under investigation as any and all possible causes are looked into.

BREAKING NEWS: Wreck Occurs at Highway 41 and New Hope Road

ZEBULON - Upon clearing the scene from the vehicle collision on Highway 19 in the article above, Traffic Investigators responded to a second vehicle collision on Highway 41 in the area of New Hope Road and Highway 41.

One vehicle was found to be overturned upon arrival. Only minor injuries were reported by occupants of the vehicles.

Failure to yield while trying to enter Highway 41 by a GMC Sierra caused it to strike a Ford Ranger. The seventeen year old male driver was cited for failure to yield right of way.
