ZEBULON - Two wrecks occurred almost simultaneously yesterday in different sections of the county. Neither had report of serious injury.
Around 4:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, a call was received about a fender bender on Highway 362 near United Bank. Emergency personnel responded. This accident turned out to be a minor fender bender from behind with no injuries.
Within minutes of this call, another wreck occurred on Old Zebulon Road off of Highway 19. According to an eye witness, a Mid State Construction striping truck went off the edge of the road, overcorrected, crossed the center line, and ended upside down on the other side of the road.
Those who were in the truck were able to get out of the truck and had no complaint of injury on the scene. They later went to the hospital for evaluation.
In both cases, deputies from the Pike County Sheriff's Office and volunteers from the Pike County Sheriff's Office were on hand to
