ZEBULON - Pike County Deputies responded to a vehicle accident on Highway 19 at Gresham Road today at 11:46 a.m. A Chevrolet pick up truck was traveling westbound on Gresham Road when it ran the stop sign at Highway 19 and struck a Chevrolet passenger car.
The driver of the truck, Adrian Hampton, 28 years of age from Zebulon, was deceased at the scene. Jeffery Brown, 57 years of age, was injured in the other vehicle and transported to Grady Hospital by ambulance.
Traffic investigators continue to look into this accident.
