Agencies Work Together in Safe Traffic Initiative on August 25

ZEBULON - On Friday, August 25, 2023 the Zebulon Police department along with partnering agencies of the Governor's Office of Highway Safety, Central Georgia Traffic Enforcement network, met in the City of Zebulon for training and to ensure drivers on the roadways are remaining safe.

The initiative is to help keep the citizens of our community as well as those commuting through the City of Zebulon safe.

"This was a very successful cooperative effort between 6 agencies and the initiative of the Governor's Office of Highway Safety," said Chief Jonathan Hemphill.

Agencies that worked together in this initiative included: Zebulon Police Department, Jackson Police Department, Spalding County Sheriff's Office, Georgia State Patrol, Barnesville Police Department, and Lamar County Sheriff's Office.

There were 23 total citations given and 3 total misdemeanor arrests made.
