GRIFFIN - Sheriff Wendell Beam Reports that Brennan Turbyville, age 17, of Maple Drive in Griffin, Georgia, is being held at the Spalding County Jail on a charge of Terroristic Threats with a bond of $1000.00. Mr. Turbyville was arrested on January 7, 2016, by members of the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office.
The arrest followed an incident that occurred on January 2, 2016, in which Mr. Turbyville made threats on the internet to take over one of the local schools and shoot students.
"I want to thank all of the concerned parents and citizens who reported this incident to school officials and to the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office," said Sheriff Beam. "I urge all citizens to report any suspicious or criminal activity to Law Enforcement Officials immediately."
