ZEBULON - Pike County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of a four wheeler and trailer stolen from a residence yesterday. Investigators were able to follow up on a suspect living on Perkins Road, by the name of Michael Frost.
In the backyard if the suspect residence a trailer matching the description of the one stolen was located by the Investigators. Upon speaking with one of the residents, Priscilla Jefferies (38 years of age) , she advised that Frost was not at the residence. He was located shortly thereafter hiding in a closet.
A search warrant was conducted on the property during which the stolen four wheeler was located. Both individuals were arrested and taken to the Pike County Jail. Michael Frost has been charged with theft by taking (felony), theft by taking (misdemeanor), and removal of a VIN (felony). Jefferies has been charged with obstruction.
Bond has not been set at this time. Frost is suspected of committing other thefts and investigators are working with various other agencies.
