Rep. Pullin Sponsors Resolution on Term Limits
Let the People Vote!

ATLANTA - A resolution was sponsored by Rep. Ken Pullin that would provide for term limits for members of the Georgia Senate and House of Representatives that would allow four consecutive terms of office and would then disqualify the member from office for one full term of office.

The limitation on the number of consecutive terms of office would include any part of a term served and would begin applying to terms of office beginning on January 1, 2021.

IF (and that is a big IF) this legislation is even allowed on the floor for a vote, it would allow Georgia voters to vote on this proposed amendment to the Constitution that will simply read, "Shall the Constitution of Georgia be amended so as to provide term limits for members of the Senate and members of the House of Representatives?" Voters would vote a simple YES or NO.
