Southside Riders Association Donates Teddy Bears to First Responders and Law Enforcement

ZEBULON - The Southside Riders Association (SRA) donated teddy bears to Pike County’s First Responders, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office and Zebulon Police Department on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. These bears are being given as way to bring a smile to a kid's face in the midst of a traumatic event.

Many thanks to SRA members and their families who came out today as well as Sheriff Jimmy Thomas, Fire Chief Rick O'Barr and representatives from the Pike County Sheriff's Office, the Department of Highway Safety, Grady/South Georgia Ambulance, Zebulon Police Department, and the Pike County Fire Department to commemorate this donation.

This donation is made possible from an SRA Teddy Bear Ride that was held on in July at Truett's Grill in Griffin. Over 3,000 teddy bears were donated--and this doesn't include toys that were donated! Click here to see pictures from last year's event.

Thank you to all who came out to help Allen and Bubba give bears to some real life heroes! Click here to see the ride into Zebulon with Southside Riders.
