ZEBULON - The First Annual Zebulon Steak Out and Festival will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Zebulon City Park located at 7818 U.S. Highway 19 South in Zebulon (right beside Zebulon City Hall). The City of Zebulon held a lookout for Cook Teams as well as food and vendors for this event.
There were 9 cook teams that came out to compete with several vendors out on the grass at Zebulon City Park. Congratulations to 1st place winner: Eric Johnson, 2nd place winner: Greg Green, and 3rd place winner: Mike Barnes! There was only 2 points difference between the 1st and 3rd place winners! If you missed it this year, look for the 2nd Annual Zebulon Steak Out next year!
Cook Teams have a $100 non-refundable entry fee that will put them in the running for some pretty cool prizes. The 1st place winner will receive a reconditioned Green Egg ($600 value). The 2nd place winner will receive $200 plus a trophy. The 3rd place winner will receive $100 plus a plaque. Click here for a list of the Steak Judging Rules and click here for an entry form.
Vendors are invited to be a part of this festival as well. Arts, crafts, antiques, and collectibles vendors are invited to participate as well as vendors who can provide children's activities including inflatables and train and pony rides. Food both vendors are welcomed to be a part of the fun too! The fee for each 12 foot by 12 foot space is $35. Click here for an entry form
