Zebulon Native Katie Rawlins Completes Internship for Rep. Austin Scott in Washington D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Katie Rawlins, daughter of Glen and Kim Rawlins from Zebulon, has just completed a four-week internship in Washington, D.C. with U.S. Representative Austin Scott (GA-08). Rawlins is a Political and International Affair major at the University of Georgia.

“Our internship program provides college students or recent graduates an opportunity to learn more about the legislative process while gaining valuable work experience. It allows them to experience how our federal government works firsthand,” said Rep. Scott.

“Thanks to this internship, I was able to put into practice everything I have learned in the classroom. I am so thankful to have had this opportunity to work in Congressman Scott’s office. This experience is the cornerstone for my future in politics related to and with international affairs,” said Rawlins.
