Law Enforcement Pursued Black Motorcycle Yesterday

ZEBULON - According to Major Jason Smith of the Zebulon Police Department (ZPD), a black motorcycle came through Zebulon at a speed of approximately 100 miles per hour yesterday morning around 11 a.m. A Zebulon police officer came up behind the motorcycle with blue lights on, but the rider refused to stop.

The ZPD officer called out the pursuit of the motorcycle and its rider. Georgia State Patrol (GSP) took lead on the chase around the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home with ZPD falling into a secondary position.

GSP followed the motorcycle into Upson County where the rider turned onto Kings Road and doubled back into Pike County. Law enforcement lost the rider in this area.

Major Smith advised that there were no identifying marks on the black motorcycle and no license plate on the bike that would have enabled law enforcement to track down the bike and rider without a pursuit. They also do not know if the rider was a male or female, etc.

If you have any information on this incident, please call the Zebulon Police Department at 770-567-8441.
