GRIFFIN - The American Legion and VFW have raised funds to erect a new Monument to honor the seven local men who gave their lives in the Global War on Terror, four in Iraq and three in Afghanistan.
This new Monument will be unveiled and dedicated at the 11:00 a.m. Memorial Day Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Park in Griffin (across from the Flint River Library) on Monday, May 25th.
Everyone is encouraged and invited to attend. It is suggested that you come early and bring your own chair - we are anticipating a large crowd.
