Community Comes Together to Support Sheila Mathews, Editor of the The Grip

GRIFFIN - The community is coming together to support Sheila Mathews, Owner and Editor of the Grip newspaper in Griffin. You can read the Grip online at http://the-grip.net.

Sheila has been in the hospital recovering from illness. She recently had to cancel the upcoming issue of the Grip because of it. Those who would like to drop off gift cards for gas, food, dog food, etc. to show support to Sheila and her family can drop items off in Griffin. (I'll be happy to deliver if you catch up with me around town too.)

Donations can be dropped off at Rita's Jewelry Pawn and Gifts located at 420 W Solomon St, Griffin, GA 30223, Phone:(770) 227-7715. Rita's is open on Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm. They are closed on Sunday and open Monday from Friday from 9 am to 6pm.

Update 2.2.16:

Sheila is off of the ventilator and doing much better. Hopefully she will be moving into a regular hospital room soon. There are several ways that you can show support to Sheila and her family.

Donations can still be dropped off at Rita's Jewelry Pawn and Gifts. Click here to donate through Gofundme. You can also send a donation or a get well card through the mail to: Sheila Mathews, P.O Box 2251 Griffin, GA 30223. (You can call me at 770-468-7583 and I'll be happy to drop it off at the hospital too since I'm up there on a regular basis.)

Update 2.15.16:

Sheila is at home now and is thankful for the prayers and kindness shown to her and her family!
