FLASHBACK: J. Joel Edwards Library Held Summer Reading Finale

ZEBULON - The Summer Reading Finale was held at the J. Joel Edwards Public Library. Children of all ages were invited, whether or not they registered for the reading program. There were crafts, games, prizes, tattoos, and face painting. Balloon creations were provided by balloon artist/ventriloquist Cliff Patton.

Kids bounced away some of their energy in the racecar bounce-house, met the Chick-Fil-A cow, and had their picture taken in the racecar standee.

A wide array of door prizes were given out to kids who read 25+ hours, including a couple of bicycles, a baseball chair and ottoman, and an enviable multimedia art set.

The children’s activities were held in the south parking lot. The teen finale was held on the following Monday because Emily was sick on that Saturday. There were a lot of cool games and prizes for the teens as well.

The festivities ran from 10:00 to noon and a good time was had by all!
