ZEBULON - The Leland Shoemake Foundation, Inc. presents the First Annual L7 Baseball Tournament in honor of the late Leland Tyler Shoemake on June 4-5, 2016 at the Pike County Parks and Recreation Fields.
The Leland Shoemake Foundation is a non-profit incorporation that was started in honor of Leland Shoemake who passed away on September 25, 2015 at the age of six from a brain eating amoeba called Balamuthia Mandrillaris. The LS Foundation raises money to bring awareness of deadly amoebas and to help under privileged children and those in need.
The LS Foundation will hold its First Annual L7 Baseball Tournament in honor of Leland in June of 2016. It is a first come, first serve registration. Registration forms, rules and guidelines, fees, and meeting times can be found on our website. Please have your registration forms along with all necessary paperwork and fees turned in no later than May 21, 2016. Baseball teams from 6U-14U may register. There will only be 6 teams per age group accepted. There will be a waiting list in case of withdrawls or eliminations from the tournament. All are welcome! Lots of other activities will be available for children such as bounce houses, face painting and balloon animals.
