Mark Your Calendar For the 48th Annual Concord Jubilee

ZEBULON - The pictures from 2019 only tell part of the story! The 48th Annual Concord Jubilee will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, October 16 and Sunday, October 17. There will be food, festivities, and music!

Parade and Entertainment

The parade will be Saturday, October 16 at 2 pm along Highway 18 (lineup is at 1:30 for participants). Parade participants include Pike County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard, Pike County Pirate Regiment Marching Band, Griffin Shrine Club, Concerned Citizens, Marine Corps League Toys for Tots Train, and the Antique Tractor Club. And the Grand Marshal for the parade will be Pat Strickland, Mayor John’s mother!

There will be live entertainment at the Pavilion on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday – Don & Robin at 10 am, River’s Edge at 11:30 am, Double Clutching at 3 pm. Sunday – Concord Baptist Church will cover the service at 9 am, New Creation at 2 pm, Line Creek at 3 pm and Papa Jinx at 4 pm.

Special Events

Red Clay Ministries will be holding a Silent Auction in the R.F. Strickland Building. We have moved some of our booth locations around this year so be sure to get one of our flyers to make sure you don’t miss your favorite vendors. The children’s activities, including the precious ponies, will be located near the city playground.

The entire Jubilee family is saddened by the loss of our longtime friend and engineer, Perry “The Train Man” Wilson. While we can never replace him, we will have a trackless train at the Jubilee.

Closing

COVID kept the Concord Jubilee from happening last year, but its long awaited return is exciting for both residents of the county and those who will be visiting from other counties.

Parking will be in the field near the intersection of Hwy 18 and Roberts Quarters Rd as well as the large field on Harris Street at McClendon.

Come out and see us, y’all!
