ATLANTA - Sen. Marty Harbin (R – Tyrone) recently announced two transportation project awards from the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). The first award totals to more than $17 million and the second award totals to more than $16.8 million.
“Transportation is consistently a top priority in the legislature,” said Sen. Harbin. “While we are constantly coming up with innovative ways to provide transportation options for all Georgians and clearing up some congestion on our roads, ensuring that our current roads are as safe as possible is critical. I look forward to the completion of both of these projects so Georgia drivers can continue making safe, efficient trips on a day-to-day basis.”
The first project award is for more than 15 miles of milling, inlay and plant mix resurfacing from SR 155 to north of SR 36 on I-75/SR 401 in Butts, Henry and Spalding Counties. The expected completion date of this project is January 31, 2020.
