GRIFFIN - The City of Griffin Police Department Specialized Investigations Unit (SIU) and Criminal Apprehension and Gang Enforcement (CAGE) Unit conducted a narcotic investigation at 311 E. Tinsley Street Apt. A & B, Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia. The investigation revealed that narcotics were being distributed from both apartments.
On Thursday, January 24, 2019, the SIU/CAGE Unit executed a narcotic search warrant for the location that rendered seizing 104 ecstasy pills (weighing approximately 31 gross grams), 6 gross grams of “crack” cocaine, and misdemeanor amount of marijuana. In addition to the narcotics recovered, a handgun and several items used for packaging narcotics was recovered on the search warrant.
Larry Lamont Blanton was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine With Intent to Distribute, and Possession of Marijuana less than an ounce. Rodriquez Robinson was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine (Ecstasy), Possession of Ecstasy With Intent to Distribute, Possession of Ecstasy, and Possession of Marijuana less than an ounce.
