Fire Department Personnel Respond to Three Calls; Home of Fire Fighter Is A Complete Loss

ZEBULON - While responding to a motorcycle accident involving a tractor trailer truck in the area of Hwy 19 S near Teen Challenge (patient flown to a trauma center) and a medical call at Supreme Corporation on Hwy 341 Tuesday morning Pike County Fire Department personnel noted a plume of smoke in the vicinity.

[Note from the Editor: See article entitled "Motorcycle Collides with Eighteen Wheeler" for more info about the wreck mentioned here. Please note that our Fire Department is composed of volunteers who reponded to three separate incidents in a very short amount of time today. We are lucky to have that kind of dedication in our Fire Department.]

Upon investigation a fully involved structure fire was located at the end of the culdesac on Saddle Lake Road (464) off Midway Road. Property owner, Brian Williamson, stated that a neighbor called him and told him his house was on fire. Brian is a firefighter at Fayette County Fire Department.

No one was at home at the time of the incident. Brian, his wife and three children have lost all their possessions except for a few items that were salvaged from the garage. The family pets were not harmed.
