CONCORD - At approximately 4:11 pm, February 19, 2024, Pike County Fire Department personnel responded to a reported structure fire at 568 Eppinger Bridge Road. Upon arrival firefighters found flames showing from the roof.
Fire was extinguished using approximately 10,000 gallons of water.
A neighbor reported the fire as no one was home at the time. The family dog and fish were rescued without apparent injury by firefighters. PCFD personnel were on scene for approximately three hours.
The fire is believed to have started in a kitchen receptacle.
