GRIFFIN — The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has established a Disaster Relief Center (DRC) at the Spalding County Senior Center (885 Memorial Drive in Griffin) to provide recovery resources for individuals and business owners in Griffin, Spalding County as well as other affected counties in the area. The DRC is open daily from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. until further notice.
FEMA agents at the DRC can provide assistance with individual claims on home and vehicle damage, personal belongings and physical injury. The Small Business Association (SBA) is also stationed at the Senior Center to aid small business owners and individuals.
FEMA encourages those affected by the storm to visit the DRC and ask questions, begin the application process and seek aid in the recovery process. FEMA and SBA applications can also be submitted online at https://www.disasterassistance.gov/ or via telephone at 1-800-621-3362.
