Reward Offered/Serial Dollar Store Armed Robbery Suspect Turns Violent

ATLANTA - The FBI is once again asking for the public’s help in identifying a dangerous serial armed robber who has hit an additional four dollar stores and has escalated to violence.

In a recent robbery at a Family Dollar store in Lawrenceville, GA on March 10, 2020 the suspect fired shots at an employee who was not hit.

Family Dollar is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.

From January 9, 2020 until February 2, 2002 the FBI believes the suspect was responsible for at least seven (7) armed robberies at the following Family Dollar stores:

-01/09/2020 at 3460 E. Ponce De Leon Ave., Scottdale, GA 30079
-01/16/2020 at 3201 Tucker Norcross Rd., Tucker, GA 30084
-01/21/2020 at 5404 Covington Highway, Decatur, GA 30035
-01/22/2020 at 3412 Clairmont Rd., Brookhaven, GA 30319
-01/23/2020 at 1616 Virginia Ave., Atlanta, GA 30337
-01/31/2020 at 6871 Main St., Lithonia, GA 30058
-02/02/2020 at 1125 N. Indian Creek Dr., Lithonia, GA 30021

Nearly a month after the last robbery, the suspect robbed four more stores:

-03/01/2020 Dollar General at 1291 Columbia Dr., Decatur, GA 30032
-03/05/2020 Family Dollar at 3824 Powder Springs Rd., Powder Springs, GA
-03/10/2020 Family Dollar at 249 Scenic Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA 30046
-03/11/2020 Family Dollar at 2335 Hwy 138 East, Jonesboro, GA 30236

The suspect is described as black male, 5’8” to 5’9” tall, about 150 lbs., and typically wears a dark-color hooded sweatshirt under a dark-color puffy jacket, dark pants and tan-color Timberland-style boots.

Anyone with information about these robberies is asked to call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477).

FBI Seeks Help Identifying Serial Dollar Store Armed Robbery Suspect

ATLANTA – The FBI, along with the DeKalb County Police Department, Brookhaven Police Department, College Park Police Department, Lithonia Police Department and Clarkston Police Department, are asking for the publics help identifying a dangerous serial armed robber.

The FBI believes the suspect is responsible for at least seven (7) armed robberies at the following Family Dollar stores in the past month:

He is armed with a hand gun and orders employees to open the safe and takes the money inside.

Anyone with information about these robberies is asked to call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
