ZEBULON - The 3rd Annual Pike County "Dog and Pony Show" was held on Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 10:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Chestnut Oak Center (across from the Georgia Baptist Children's Home). There was no admission though donations were gladly be accepted.
This event was sponsored by the Friends of Pike County Animals, the Pike County Horse Club, and the Pike County Ag Authority. Thanks to Johnnie Ann Gaskill for submitting her photos.
Some of the events sponsored this year included the Animal Lineup, Posting of the Colors, Blessing of the Animals, Rescued Animals Recognition, Egg and Spoon Contest, Individual and on Horseback, Pet Costume Contest, Open exhibition for all attending organizations, 1:30 pm - Waterballon Toss, Open exhibition for all attending organizations, Hula Hoop Race, Individual and on Horseback, Horse Shoe/Toilet Seat Toss, Open to all children and youth, and the Potato Sack Race. It's always a lot of fun to attend and to participate too!
