According to a press release issued from the Pike County Sheriff's Office: On Saturday April 14, 2012 at approximately 12:18 am, Pike County Sheriff’s Office received a medical call on Hwy 19 south in reference to an unresponsive person. Sergeant Goldston and Deputy Hutto arrived on scene to find a subject lying on the floor not breathing and without a pulse.
The deputies started administering CPR for 5 to 7 minutes while awaiting medical units. When medical units arrived the individual was breathing on their own and had a pulse. Mid Georgia Ambulance service continued providing medical treatment and transported the patient to Upson Regional Hospital.
A full recovery is expected due to the dedication of these two Pike County Deputies.
