ZEBULON - The Georgia DOT will hold a Detour Open House on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Pike County School Auditorium. The event regards P.I. No. 0014904 - Pike County which proposes a replacement of the bridge on Georgia 109 at Gola Creek, one mile east of Meansville. The proposed new bridge would have two 12-foot travel lanes an eight-foot shoulders on both sides of the bridge. It would be replaced on existing alignment and an off-site detour is proposed during construction.
The Open House will provide the public with an opportunity to view the proposed detour, ask questions and comment on the project and the proposed detour. The event will be informal and citizens are invited to attend any time during the hours. There will be no formal presentation. A court reporter will be present to allow the public the opportunity to verbally comment.
