BREAKING NEWS: Pike County Sheriff's Office Offers Reward

ZEBULON - The Pike County Sheriff's Office is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the recent rash of entering autos that have occurred in Pike County.

The thieves have been targeting vehicles that are left unlocked at residences during the night and have taken numerous firearms in these thefts. According to Major David Neal, the latest breaking and entering attempts were in Meansville overnight.

Earlier this month, investigators were looking into several reports of entering autos that have occurred over the past several weeks. According to the Sheriff's Office, reported car break-ins around October 11 were on Campbell Road and are reported to have occurred during the night at residences.

The Sheriff's Office gave a warning at that time that firearms left in vehicles were being targeted by thieves, and notified the public that they were following leads and coordinating with other law enforcement agencies in regards to the same type of crimes occurring in other jurisdictions.

Investigators are repeating the warning about securing firearms and to be vigilant of any suspicious vehicles and/or person(s) in their area.

Anyone with information can call an Investigator at 770-567-8431. Information can remain confidential if you would like it to be.
