ZEBULON - On the evening of August 30, 2016, the Zebulon Police Deparment conducted an undercover sale of alcohol to a minor operation. The Police Department has been getting complaints from citizens about stores selling alcohol to minors.
A minor was sent into the stores in Zebulon to purchase alcohol and the clerks at the following stores were cited: BP, Country Gold, Flash Foods, Chevron and Mr. B's. The clerks were issued a citation for sale of alcohol to a minor.
Zebulon Police Department will address future complaints if needed. Zebulon City Council could address the problem of sale of alcohol to minors with these gas stations if this continues to be a problem.
