Women Arrested After Altercation in Pike County Sheriff's Office Parking Lot

ZEBULON - On August 13, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. deputies responded to a physical altercation in the parking lot of the Pike County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies learned that a custody exchange of minor children was taking place in the parking lot.

Two females, Abbie Hansrote, 27 years of age from Thomaston, and Kelsey Mchone, 23 years of age from Jackson, physically assaulted an adult female victim. Hansrote is currently employed by the Henry County Police Department.

After reviewing video footage of the incident both Hansrote and Mchone were arrested and charged with battery and cruelty to children due to the minors being present.

No children were harmed during this incident.
