Zebulon Police Department Makes Arrests

ZEBULON - According to Chief Hemphill On July 29th, 2015 an officer with the Zebulon Police Department did arrest Travis Bernard Fambro of Griffin for Failure to Maintain Lane and Possession of Marijuana less than 1 oz. After he was stopped for Failure to Maintain Lane, the officer smelled Marijuana coming from his vehicle. After a search, he did locate two white bags that contained marijuana.

According to Chief Hemphill, a second drug arrest was made by Zebulon Police Officers. Jonathan Travion Marshall of Griffin was arrested on July 29th, 2015. After he was stopped, officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana. After a probable cause search, officers found approximately 1 oz of marijuana, approximately 5 grams of cocaine, and a 45 caliber pistol. Subject was charged with Possession of Cocaine with intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana with intent to Distribute, Possession of a Firearm by a convicted Felon, and Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

On July 29th, 2015 officers also arrested a subject named Evan Slade Mallory of Griffin. Officers made contact with Mallory and two male juveniles in the parking lot of Dairy Queen in the city limits of Zebulon. Upon Speaking with the driver of the vehicle, Evan Mallory had advised officers that he did have marijuana in the trunk of his car. Upon searching his vehicle, he was in fact in possession of approximately 45 grams of Marijuana and other drug paraphernalia. Mallory claimed all marijuana to be his and was turned over to the jail. The juveniles were released to a legal guardian.
