ZEBULON - On September 12, 2017, PFC Brazer conducted a traffic stop on a silver Toyota passenger car. Contact with the driver was made and is identified as a Robert Edward Willoughby out of Colorado.
PFC Brazer detected a strong odor of marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle. Mr. Willoughby was asked to step out of the car which he did. Mr. Willoughby was asked if he had any weapons on his person which he responded no; however, a loaded .38 caliber handgun was located in his front pant pocket.
Mr. Willoughby was asked if there were any more weapons in the vehicle and he responded no. A search of the vehicle was conducted and two other firearms were located one of which was reported stolen out of Henry County Georgia back in 1989.
A pound of marijuana was located along with 73 grams of dab. Mr. Willoughby was arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana, possession of schedule narcotic, theft by receiving stolen firearm and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
