ZEBULON - On Friday, June 24 at approximately 4:00 p.m. an officer with the Zebulon Police Department noticed a vehicle traveling north on Georgia Hwy 19 North that changed lanes several times without using its turn signal.
The officer stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as a Brian Turnipseed, 33 years of age, from Hampton. The officer observed an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.
During the course of the traffic stop the officer recovered approximately a half pound of marijuana along with scales and packaging materials. Mr. Turnipseed was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and failure to use turn signal.
