Join TUAC's presentation of "Music, Music, Music" featuring the Acclamation! Choir

THOMASTON - Thomaston Upson Arts Council (TUAC) invites the public to join with them and be a part of "Music, Music, Music" featuring the Acclamation! Choir. "Music, Music, Music!" will be somewhat of a combination of our past program called "Pianos in the Round" presented in 2014 and last year's Acclamation! Concert. The public response to both concerts was overwhelming!

Along with the Acclamation! Choir, this year we will feature four talented npianists in concert: Our own Jennifer Durham (Organizer) whom you all know as a virtuoso pianist, composer, arranger, and, of course, well- known accompanist for so many choirs, among them Sounds of the Season and Acclamation! Our own Janette Camantigue, beloved and irreplaceable TUAC musical theatre accompanist, highlighted pianist and primo accompanist for Acclamation! Mrs. Valerie Calhoun, professor of music at Gordon State College. Valerie and husband Ric sang with us in Acclamation! last year! And Dr. Stephen Mulder, Director of Music at Griffin First United Methodist Church and Founder and Director of Griffin Choral Arts.

We will perform a variety of genres of music. The planning of the choral portion is not yet completed. However, some selections we already know will be included will be "Shenandoah", American folksong, arranged by Jennifer, "One Day More" from Les Miserables, The Sound of Music, and other folksongs and selections from Broadway musicals, Classical selections, and spirituals.

Acclamation! rehearsals will begin on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 6:30-8:00 PM at First Baptist Church. The concert will be Thursday, November 9, 2017 in the R.E. LEE Auditorium.
