ZEBULON - The Development Authority of Pike County met on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 8 a.m. to discuss regular monthly business. Present were: Director Kyle Fletcher, John Edwards, Stewart Essary, John Barker, David Nix, Bryan Oglesby, and Chairman Kel Brannon. Tim Ingram and Pike County Times were also present along with some invited guests. Mayor Joe Walter and Sonny Gwyn were not able to attend.

1. Call to order ..... Kel Brannon, Chairman

2. Approval of the Agenda.
a. Approval of the October 4, 2023 Regular Meeting Agenda

a. Heard a proposal for a 11.24 acre tract in the Zebulon Business Park.

b. Heard a proposal for another lot, possibly two lots combined in the Zebulon Business Park.

4. Approval of the Minutes
a. Approval of the September 5, 2023 Regular Monthly Minutes.

Motion to approve. Approved.

5. Approval of the Financials
a Approvale of the September 2023 Financials

Kyle thanked Stuart for helping her with Quickbooks and walking through the financials. These will be emailed at a later date.

6. Old Business

Discussion. One lot has sold.

7. New Business
a. DPAC monthly rent to the Chamber of Commerce

Going back to $1,000 a month now that the office is occupied. It was $500 before. Motion to approve. Approved.

b. Resolution for Executive Director to sign official DAPC documents

This will allow Director Fletcher to execute documents on behalf of the authority. Motion to approve. Approved.

Motion to amend the agenda to go into executive session to discuss real estate. Approved.

Discussion of bills. Do we need a landline? No. Things seem to be rolling fine. 2 closings and 2 prospects have kept Fletcher busy.
