BREAKING NEWS: Arrest Made in Zebulon Home Invasion

ZEBULON - On Saturday July 22, 2017 at approximately 11 p.m. the Zebulon Police Department responded to a fight in progress call at the Pikes Peak Apartments. Upon the officers arrival it was determined to be an home invasion.

Dante Crawford, 33 years of age from Griffin, came to the residence of a former girlfriend's house located at the apartments. Mr. Crawford forcibly entered the residence and a fight ensued with the girlfriend and a Carlton Brown.

During the fight Mr. Crawford had a knife and Mr. Brown received a stab wound. Mr. Crawford physically assaulted the girlfriend also. EMS was called to check out the girlfriend and Mr. Brown. Both were treated and will make a speedy recovery.

The suspects were gone upon the officers' arrival. Deputies with the Pike County Sheriff's Office were given a B.O.L.O. (Be on the look out) and stopped the vehicle as it was attempting to get back to Griffin.

Mr. Crawford, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested and is charged with Burglary, Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault Family Violence Act and criminal Damage to Property.
