BREAKING NEWS: Three Car Wreck Sends Three to Area Hospitals

MEANSVILLE - Yesterday at 11:08 a.m. a vehicle collision occurred on Old Meansville Road that involved a Sheriff’s Office employee and two other vehicles.

Sgt. Michael Wright was airlifted to Macon Medical Center. The driver of the second vehicle, Sylvia Willbanks, was airlifted to Grady Hospital. A third person, Matthew Westbrook, was taken by ambulance to Macon Medical.

All three individuals were admitted to their respective hospitals with various injuries.

At the request of Sheriff Jimmy Thomas, the Georgia State Patrol was contacted and initiated an investigation into this incident. Their findings will be forwarded on to both the Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney’s Office.

The thoughts and prayers of the Sheriff’s Office are with all of those involved and affected by this accident.
