BREAKING NEWS: Stolen Jeep Has Been Recovered
By Editor Becky Watts

WILLIAMSON - A white Jeep Cherokee was stolen from a home in the Ashley Glen subdivision in Williamson on Monday night/Tuesday morning after midnight this week. Pike County Sheriff’s Investigators have been working to locate the vehicle since that time.

Major David Neal advised that the Jeep was found abandoned in Dekalb County earlier this afternoon, and that investigators are still working to identify the thieves who were caught on video. The video can be viewed on the Pike County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page at www.facebook.com/pikesheriff/videos/485866462332930/.

Since there have been a number of vehicle break-ins and stolen cars in Pike and surrounding counties, Major Neal said, “The Pike County Sheriff’s Office strongly advises citizens in the entire county against leaving items of value accessible in your vehicle whether it is in your driveway or place of employment.”

Anyone with information on the theft of this vehicle should call 770-567-8431 and ask to speak to an investigator. Callers can remain anonymous when giving a tip about the thieves if they would like.
