BREAKING NEWS: Deputies Arrest Alabama Escapee

WILLIAMSON - Earlier today, Pike County Sheriff's Deputies were alerted to an escapee from Chambers County, Alabama. According to the information received, Daniel Noon was in custody for burglary and child support.

Noon had stolen a semi truck after his escape and was tracked to Pike County, Georgia. The truck was recovered at the Ingles grocery store inside of Spalding County.

As of 12 p.m. today, he had not been located and had been thought to have possibly left the area. Deputies continued to assist Chambers County in locating and arresting Noon. The public was advised to contact 911 if they saw a person matching his physical description.

Around 1 p.m. today, deputies arrested Daniel Noon. He was found on Midway Road and initially lied to deputies about who he was but was identified as the wanted individual.

He is currently in the Pike County Jail awaiting extradition to Alabama where he will face charges of escape and motor vehicle theft.

Question asked by Pike County Times in response to this arrest? How did the authorities guess that he was coming to Pike County? He grew up here.
