BREAKING NEWS: May 21, 2024 Election Results

ZEBULON - Pike County voters had the opportunity to speak their minds at the ballot box on local, state, and federal election races in the May 21, 2024 General Primary. The Primary Election for Sheriff and District 3 Commissioner were both on this ballot as well as the US States Representative District 3 race to fill the seat being vacated by Rep. Drew Ferguson who is stepping down from this position.

The purpose of the General Primary is to establish a Democrat and Republican candidate to run in the November if both parties have candidates in each race.

There are only Republican candidates in the District 3 County Commission race so the winner of this race will go into office on January 1, 2025.

3,915 voters out of 14,747 registered voters cast their votes in this election. That is a 26.55% turnout.

Sheriff - Republican Ballot

**Congratulations to Sheriff Jimmy Thomas on his win. Thank you to Scott Gray for throwing his hat into the race.

Jamal Willis has to have his signatures in by a certain date in order to have the signatures checked and certified for the November election as an Independent Candidate.**
