BREAKING NEWS: Arrests Made in Pike County Burglaries

ZEBULON - Pike County Sheriff's Investigators have been looking into several thefts that have occurred throughout the County. In one instance, a barn was burglarized and numerous items were taken by the perpetrator(s). Several of the stolen items were sold at a pawn shop in Griffin and a suspect was identified as the one selling the stolen property.

Pike County Investigators teamed up with Griffin Police Department to track down and arrest Sandra Kruse, 55 years of age, for Burglary. Additionally a search was conducted of an additional residence in Griffin that resulted in more stolen items being recovered.

An additional arrest was also made. Denver Dickson, 30 years of age, has been charged with Burglary for his role in stealing items in Pike County. During the search of the residence on Hammond Drive in Griffin, stolen tools and equipment were located that had come from a theft at a construction site in Fayette County.

This investigation remains ongoing and more arrests are possible.

Denver Dickson has been arrested in Pike County in the past. He is one of three suspects who were arrested for connection with burglary and vandalism of New Hope Baptist Church, Flat Rock church and Nazareth Church in 2009.

Readers may remember when New Hope Baptist Church burglarized and vandalized by three males who fell through the ceiling of the sanctuary, threw food around the kitchen and fellowship hall and emptied fire extinguishers throughout the building. These three suspects were arrested in April of 2009 after the investigation led to them from evidence at one of the crime scenes.

Church property that had been pawned was later recovered by the church. Stolen items were also found at the home of one of those arrested for the crime. All three were convicted and sentenced to 10 years in prison for Burglary and Vandalism to a Church. According to the State Department of Corrections, Dickson began his incarceration with the State of Georgia on October 5, 2010 and released on April 9, 2012.

Dickson was arrested in Fayette County after his release. He was convicted of Burglary in the 1st Degree, Criminal Damage 2nd Degree, and Criminal Damage in the 1st Degree in early 2013. According to the State Department of Corrections, Dickson was incarcerated on April 7, 2014 and released on November 8, 2016.
