The Pike County Board of Commissioners held a Special Called Meeting on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room in the Courthouse Annex at 79 Jackson Street, Zebulon. Chairman Doug Mangham convened the meeting, and Commissioners Carol Bass, Tamra Jarrett, Tommy Powers, and Don Collins attended. County Attorney Tom Morton and Interim County Clerk Jo Ann Wrye were also present. (O.C.G.A. § 50-14- 1(e) (2))

Motion/second by Commissioners Collins/Powers to approve with the Agenda. Motion carried 5-0.
4. EXECUTIVE SESSION
County Commissioners requests adjournment to Executive Session for: Discussion or deliberation on
the appointment, employment, compensation, hiring, disciplinary action or dismissal, or periodic
evaluation or rating of a public officer or employee or interviewing applicants for the position of the
executive head of an agency, as provided in O.C.G.A. § 50-14-3(b)(2), germane to Administration.
Motion/second by Commissioners Bass/Powers to adjourn to Executive Session at 4:50 p.m. carried
5-0. Motion/second to reconvene to Open Meeting at 4:53 p.m. by Commissioners Collins/Bass
carried 5-0.
Motion/second by Commissioners Bass/Powers to approve Jo Ann Wrye as Interim County Clerk until the end of September at which time a final decision will be made on who will be County Clerk. In the same motion/second it was approved for Jo Ann Wrye to be compensated extra pay until the end of September. Motion carried 5-0.
