8. UNFINISHED BUSINESS

a. Approve/deny the final adoption of the Text amendment to the Pike County Code of Ordinances, Chapter 36, Personnel Policy, Section 36.18, to amend to read each full-time employee of Pike County having 30 days continuous employment or more with Pike County shall be eligible for bereavement leave.

b. Approve/deny the final adoption of the Text amendment to the Pike County Code of Ordinances, Chapter 37, Anti-Fraud Policy, to amend title to add Whistleblower.

9. NEW BUSINESS

a. Consider one appointment to the DBHDD (Department of Behavioral Health & Development Disabilities) Region Six Regional Planning Board to fill a three-year term, set to expire July 31, 2024. Applicant has met criteria.

b. Consider two appointments to the Pike County Board of Health to fill a six-year term, set to expire July 31, 2027. Applicants have met criteria.

c. Consider use of Courthouse Grounds from Bryan Richardson with Pike County American Legion Post 197 for Pike County Patriot Day (9-11) Observance Program 20th Anniversary on September 11, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

d. Consider use of Courthouse Grounds from Bryan Richardson with Pike County American Legion Post 197 for Pike County National POW/MIA Recognition Day on September 17, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

e. Approve/deny J. Joel Edwards Public Library position title from Library Assistant to Library Youth Services Assistant.

f. Discussion of Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax, SPLOST, projects. g. PUBLIC HEARING: To receive public input regarding REZ-21-02 – Turner Brothers, LLC applicant and owner, are requesting to rezone the property located on McKinley Road Zebulon, GA 30295. The subject property is 2.134 acres and is in Land Lot 224 in the 8th Land District of Pike County. It is further defined as Parcel ID: 066-46I. Applicant and owner are requesting the property to be rezoned from A-R, Agricultural Residential, to P-I, Professional Institutional, in preparation to construct 28,000 square feet of office space in two phases. Commission District: 1, Commissioner Tim Daniel. FEMA Data: Does not lie within a flood zone.

h. PUBLIC HEARING: To receive public input regarding SE-21-07 – Pine Valley Concrete Company, Inc./Frank Bahin, Jr., applicant and Howard M. Rawlins, Jr. owner, are requesting permission to temporarily operate a small concrete plant and associated office on a portion of property located on Rawlins Road, Zebulon, GA 30295. The subject property is located in Land Lot 220 of the 8th Land District. The subject property is further identified as Parcel ID: 068 027 ZZA and consists of 28.76 + acres, only 14.36 + acres is being requested to be utilized as part of the special exception. The property is currently zoned A-R. Commission District: District 1, Commissioners Tim Daniel. FEMA Data: Does not lie within a flood zone.
