REGULAR BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MONTHLY MEETING
Thursday, November 5, 2020
Courthouse, Main Courtroom, 16001 Barnesville Street, Zebulon, Georgia

Monthly information from Animal Control, Coroner, Fire Department, Grady, Library, Magistrate Court, McIntosh Trail CSB, Planning & Development, Registrar, Superior - Juvenile Court, Tax Assessor, and the Water Authority are included as well during the morning meeting only.

We encourage that attendees follow recommended Covid-19 guidelines which include staying home if you are ill/not feeling well, washing your hands, maintaining social distancing, and wearing a face covering (recommended but not required)

The Pike County Board of Commissioners held a Special Called Meeting on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. in the Board of Commissioners Office Conference Room, 331 Thomaston Street, Zebulon, Georgia. Chairman Briar Johnson convened the meeting and Commissioners Tim Daniel, Tim Guy and Jason Proctor attended. County Manager Brandon Rogers, County Attorney Rob Morton and County Clerk Angela Blount were also present. (O.C.G.A. § 50-14-1(e) (2)) Due to unforeseen circumstances Commissioner James Jenkins was unavailable to attend the meeting.

1. CALL TO ORDER .... Chairman Briar Johnson

2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGINACE - Chairman Briar Johnson

3. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA - O.C.G A. § 50-14-1 (e) (1))

Motion/second by Commissioners Daniel/Proctor to approve the agenda, motion carried 4-0.

3. EXECUTIVE SESSION

a. County Manager requests Executive Session for consultation with the county attorney, or other legal counsel, to discuss pending or potential litigation, settlement, claims, administrative proceedings, or other judicial actions brought or to be brought by or against the county or any officer or employee or in which the county or any officer or employee may be directly involved as provided in O.C.G.A. § 50-14-2(1); germane to Alcohol Licensing.

Motion/second by Commissioners Guy/Daniel to adjourn Regular Session and enter into Executive Session at 4:02 p.m., motion carried 4-0.

Motion/second by Commissioners Guy/Proctor to adjourn Executive Session and enter into Regular Session at 4:40 p.m., motion carried 3-0, Commissioner Daniel left at 4:15 p.m. due to prior commitment.

Motion/second by Commissioners Proctor/Guy to approve the issuance of Alcohol License without having a designated agent to Saifullah Bhamani d/b/a The Rock Store, motion carried 3-0.

4. ADJOURNMENT

Motion/second by Commissioners Proctor/Guy to adjourn at 4:41 p.m., motion carried 3-0.
