CGA Comp Helps Revamp The Pike County Times

CGA Comp is a business run by Danny Shumate out of Thomaston. Danny is the webmaster for Pike County Times.com.

When I began the Pike County Times in 2006, I used a web builder that allowed me to put the website together without any knowledge of computer code. This worked fine for a while, but as the website grew, the wait time for the page to reload after each change became longer than I could stand. Working on a website from dial-up instead of DSL can be a test in patience on even the best of days!

By the spring of 2007, waiting up to three minutes for the page to load was more than I could stand. Over the course of a couple of months, Pike County Times.com got a complete overhaul. Danny taught me how to put the website together from scratch so I am no longer using a web builder. Every page on the website was revamped and now everything on the website is written in code by hand. To say that Danny has the patience of a saint is an understatement since I had no knowledge of computer lingo, and I still refer to my HTML Code Books to ensure that I am writing my code correctly.

Danny does all of the Flash programming on the website. The Pike County Times logo, date and time, and bubble links to different parts of the website located at the top of every page are examples of what flash advertising can do for your business.

Danny can put together a website for your business. From a basic website to a website full of bling, CGA Comp can help you promote your business on the world wide web at a price that is right for your budget.

Danny Shumate at CGA Comp can be reached at 706-741-5929. Tell him that the Pike County Times sent you!

Business Opportunity: Marketing Associates Needed

It may be hard to believe that you can have access to quality law firms in North America and Canada for less than the cost of a cup of coffee per day. Just like car insurance which was started back in the 1950's, people pay a small premium for coverage. The imbalance in wages did not keep up with the cost of car repairs and people are not all going to have an accident at the same time so an industry was born. The 1960's brought us health insurance and HMO's. Wages could not keep up with the rising cost of doctors & hospital fees and again, not everyone is going to be sick at the same time so an industry was born.

With the combined power of over 1.5 million members of Pre-Paid Legal, people can now have access to the legal system that was once only for the rich and powerful. Since not everyone would need an attorney at the same time, an industry was born in 1972... Pre-Paid Legal.

Check out Pre-Paid Legal by clicking below and contact Daniel Morgan, an Independent Associate of Pre-Paid Legal, at 770-567-5169 with your questions.

Help us help thousands of Americans by marketing a service that everyone needs: Identity Theft Shield with Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. With today's concerns about rising taxes, now is the time to plan your strategy and consider the advantages of running your own business. Making a living. Making a difference. "You are at the right place at the right time. Select Business Opportunity from my website and see how it can work for you," said Daniel Morgan, Independent Associate PPLSI.

Chiropractic Center
MARK B. FINK, D.C.

121 ATLANTA STREET
BARNESVILLE
770-358-2003

Mid Georgia Chiropractic is owned by Mark Fink from Pike County. His business is located on Atlanta Street in Barnesville behind Dairy Queen. I will give testimony to his work because I have been going to him for more than ten years. Chiropractor adjustments keep my spine in alignment along with exercise and good diet. Too much stress in politics or late nights hunched over the keyboard will require and adjustment from Dr. Fink to get rid of my back pain.

Hours at the Barnesville location are Monday and Friday from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. It is also open on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

A new patient visit will take approximately an hour and is $60. Each adjustment after that is only $30 unless you add heat or other necessary items to your visit.

Call Mid Georgia Chiropractic at 770-358-2003 for more information. Tell them that Becky Watts at the Pike County Times.com sent you!

Moody Funeral Home
770-567-8642

The Moody Funeral Home is independent and locally-owned by the Moody Family and has been serving families since 1982. Currently, owned and operated by Terrell and Sherri Moody, the firm was founded by Terrell’s parents, Charles and Betty Moody.

In the spring of 1981, the Moody family purchased 12 acres of land on Highway 19 North of Zebulon. The purchase of this land was the first step in the fulfillment of the family dream to provide a funeral home for the people of Pike County.

"Our dream became a reality in November, 1982 as Moody Funeral Home and Moody Memorial Gardens were opened. We are pleased to have facilities where families can gather together to celebrate the life of their loved one in a warm, inviting space."

It continues to be a family-centered firm. The words, “our family serving your family” are at the heart of everything we do.
